During the Community and District Development Committee meeting on 9 August 2023, elected members voted in favour of closing Rotorua Library on Sundays.
Library management have been working with staff and community groups affected by this decision to manage the changes with the least amount of disruption. In line with daylight saving time, the Library will remain closed on Sundays from Sunday 24 September 2023.
While doors will be closing on Sundays, access to the Library resources is still 24/7!
We encourage residents to make use of our eLibrary resources. These are available free to all library members.
Don’t have a library card?
Residents without a library card are invited to join as a digital member at www.rotorualibrary.govt.nz/join. This will allow you to make full use of our eLibrary collection.
